PS you do not have to be a AMRA member to practice at Savannah so ignore the rumors!!!!
To all that may not know.. The Ellinwood Family started racing with D3 at Frozen Ocean back in the day. We bought the PW50, then the PW90 and eventually moved into Babz 65 from there it was history... We have supported Savannah MX since they opened their doors for practice in 2006 (do the math it is only going into the 6th summer - some folks can not add and exagerate...) who formed the FOR PROFIT ORGANIZATION LAST YEAR 2009 (see for yourself)
FALL 2006 was the FIRST year they started their program... I worked with them from the 2nd race because the office staff had the flu (with the help of Mrs. Smith) and held out until July 1st 2008 (sometimes 30+ hours a week...).. I parted ways on a good note (at that time) when the track owner FINALLY had another adult to help run the show. I would not and could not put up with the unprofessional management, unsafe staff members and many other reasons... My husband and boys continued their relationship and support for the track since it was literally in the back yard... That is until today.
Savannah MX -AMRA headquarters held practice today.. The practice was open until 4pm for the PUBLIC to participate. My family was not allowed to practice and could not get past the BULL DOG at the gate. They were asked to pay... we have no problem doing so...
BUT they were told they could not ride on their track unless we "covered the graphics on their bikes (that were in the trailer)" That was truly ignorant... This FAMILY has helped the track owner, business, RIDERS AND FAMILIES for years. Just because there are irreconcilable differences that effect ones INTEGRITY - ( the quality of being honest and fair : adherence to moral principles; honesty) why take it out on riders who are what the organization are supposed to be in favor of?????
There are many locals who have worked with the boys to see them succeed... Team THUNDER ALLEY helped my boys... New Idea Construction continues to help in addition to Northern Motorsports, Cato MX, and Thornwood MX..
It is with great sadness that a track owner would turn away a rider for such childish reasons... GROW UP... MAN UP... and SHUT UP...

Sad day at savannah A chapter in our lives ended today. We went the track in savannah today. Was told that I was not needed to work this year. Also was told that because we has a sponser name of Cato Mx on our bike ,we would have to cover it up to ride on their track. Sorry for any riders that get hurt there, I will not be there to help you. I tried to stay nuetral during this track arguement, but today a side was chosen FOR me. So GOODBYE savannah mx ,forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the amount of stress i had to endure due to this topic has been playing with me for days now...but the fact of the matter is if people have opnions then i am not above teh constitution to moderate them....i love motocross... sid and paula, adam and jeff have been like another familiy to me...so it relly hurts me when i hear the new usmx is beeing attacked when they professionaly went there sperate ways and did what they had to do..thay have taken me in at the races like part of there family witch has been great becuse my family dont suport me doing this sprot and dont come with me i am a lone ranger.....now in regards to gwens post. i do not think nor agree with how this was handled its not right that you need to be segregrated regardless of where you ride or who you associate with...a buisness is a buisness and the problem with this world is it dont take mutch negivitve feedback to ruin it i do not feel this situation was right..so who cares if you are signed up to ride here or signed up to ride there its time to grow up and carry on and put it behind everyone as a bad experiance and if anyoen has a problem with me speaking my mind then to badd sue me becuse i gave EVERYONE the opertunity to use this site some chose to ( thanks guys) others stabed me in the back by talking **** about me and calling and wining to me everytime something was posted that they didnt agree with THIS IS THE RIDERS SITE AND WILL BE RAN ACCORDING TO IT......ff... so the fact of the matter is its time to stop the fighting and focas on riding people are going to race where there going to race regardless of what is offerd motocross is not a dictatorship its a democrocy ..its a FREE sport
